Church of Our Saviour is a parish in the Lincoln Park community to which many different  people come Sunday after Sunday, some from nearby and some from distant places: We happily count suburbanites in the pews as well as those who can walk to church. We are a welcoming gathering of people of all ages, stations in life, and  styles who share a desire

to enjoy together this life with which we have been blessed. Because we share a love for Jesus Christ and assurance that we are His, we work to create a peaceful and just corner of God's kingdom.

We welcome all who come seeking God, having been found by God ourselves. We are orthodox, Trinitarian Christians practicing the inclusive love we see in the healing teaching and preaching of Jesus. Our parish has long included both gay and straight people in lay and ordained leadership.

As Episcopalians we are a people of the communion table, and every Sunday we together re-member ourselves in community as we share in the bread and wine that is the body and blood of our Lord. All baptized Christians are welcome to this meal.

The reality of our contemporary urban life means we are a missionary church, always sending out disciples as vocational or family needs may dictate. We respond to the needs of our neighbors who rely on us for food and friendly care. As a parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago, we respond to the needs of a larger community beyond our own. We are also a port of long stay for many who give a richness and depth of experience to our community life. We love to gather to pray, to play, and to work. We welcome you to join us.
